Indiana Bandmasters Association

The Indiana Bandmasters Association sponsors several opportunities for students to excel outside of the regular band day. Students fill out an application form and directors also have a portion to fill out on each form. Those forms are then sent to the central IBA office for distribution to the host schools throughout the state. There is then a committee of directors who meet and go through each application choosing the "best of the best" for each site hosting a honor band event. There are 14 host schools for the All-Region Honor Bands and 10 host schools for the All-District Honor Band.  The goal of each honor band is always to have the best sounding, best balanced ensemble for each site.
